1. Our base is located adjacent to the Region of Waterloo International Airport, along the banks of the Grand River in the heart of South Western Ontario.
2. Great Lakes Helicopter was established in 2003. It has grown from a single instructor and one helicopter into one of the most respected flight training institutions in the country.
3. The training you receive will be to the highest safety standards and will prepare you to have the confidence to fly as a commercial pilot anywhere in Canada.
4. Our fully integrated Flight Training Academy offers ground and flight training for both Private and Commercial students and all ground school courses are held on site.
5. Our fleet is comprised of Robinson R22, Robinson R44 and Bell 206 Jet/Long Ranger helicopters for a totally immersive flight training experience.
6. Our aircraft are serviced and maintained by our in-house maintenance company: Rotor Services Limited. Rotor Services has been maintaining helicopters at the Region of Waterloo Airport for 30+ years.

   Our instructors have a wealth of experience and diverse backgrounds that will help any new student as he/she progresses through their flight training from the first flight to advanced training.
