Introductory Flight

Get in the pilot's seat! You’ll learn the basics of flying a helicopter before taking off on an introductory flight with an instructor by your side. Experience flight first hand in a new way.

We offer an introductory flight lesson which is a 1-hour experience with an instructor in one of our training helicopters. It is an interactive experience, where you are in the pilot's seat during the flight. Your instructor beside you will have dual controls, and will run you through a basic first lesson on flying (taking off, hovering, confined area landings etc.). It is a great option if you are interested in pursuing a pilot license, or for a bucket list experience.

Available in the Robinson R22 (2 seat helicopter) $675.00 or the Robinson R44 (4 seat helicopter) $925.00.

Need to Know:

• Please arrive 10 minutes before selected time to Great Lakes Helicopter Corp: 4685 Fountain Street N, Cambridge ON.
• Parking on site.
• Close-toed shoes required, sunglasses recommended

Weather Notice:

Your safety and enjoyment is our top priority. Weather and other unforeseen circumstances can get in the way of that. If your tour is canceled due to inclement weather, we will work with you to reschedule your flight for another day. There will be no additional charge if your flight is canceled due to weather. If you are unable to reschedule your tour for another day, we can issue you a full refund.

Weight & Balance:

Due to the nature of aircraft, weight can be a limiting factor.  If we are unable to accommodate a passenger due to weight restrictions additional fees will apply.

• R22 training limitations: the maximum single seat weight is 180 lbs
• R44 training limitations: the maximum single seat weight is 275 lbs

⚠️ The maximum single seat weight is 275 lbs, being total weight of 500 lbs for up to 3 people
